Wamakko, Tinubu and Tambuwal
Senator Aliyu Wamakko (APC-Sokoto North) has dismissed reports that he would dump the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The lawmakerβs godson, Governor Aminu Tambuwal, recently dumped the APC for the PDP.
Speaking with BBC Hausa, Wamako expressed sadness over Tambuwalβs decision to defect from the ruling party.
He said: βPolitics is always full of surprises, but it is pitiable for a young man like him (Tambuwal) to be make such decision in life.
βIt has been long that people of Sokoto stopped running politics because particular persons are in it. And as a result of that, if someone quits and says he is leaving Buhari, that will be surprising and unfortunate.β
βIf I have any issues regarding repairs of APC, leaving the party is not the ideal thing, and that wonβt show one knows what he is doing.
βIssues should be ironed out, truth be identified and be worked with. The people am representing in Sokoto are in support of Buhari and their loyalty to APC is intact, and as result of that I wonβt disappoint my people,β the former Sokoto governor added.
