Kano State Assembly
Seven members of the Kano State House of Assembly and 10 other government aides are set to defect from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
This is following the defection of the state Deputy Governor, Hafiz Abubakar, to the PDP.
The lawmakers’ defection is coming few days after their political godfather, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso dumped the APC for PDP.
A Special Adviser attached to the Deputy Governor’s Office, Barr. Hafiz Ahmed Bichi, who is among the 10 Senior Special Advisers (SSAs), who tendered their resignation letters on Monday, confirmed the development to The Nation.
Bichi said the SSAs and lawmakers have concluded the defection arrangements and lobbying for more people to join the train to PDP.
