Warning: this article contains graphic imagery

The DFB-Pokal clash between bitter rivals Dynamo Dresden and Red Bull Leipzig was marred after a severed bull's head was thrown into the stadium on Saturday.

The two clubs, who are known for their hatred towards each other, met in the first round of the German Cup as Dynamo edged past Leipzig 5-4 on penalties after a 2-2 draw at Stadion Dresden.

However, the dislike between the two clubs went to another level as the bull's head, in relation to Leipzig being funded by Austrian energy drink giant Red Bull, was produced from the Dynamo end and launched towards the field.

It is currently unknown as to how the severed head managed to enter the stadium, with the entrace to the ground under strict control from the German Football Association (DFB).
