The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Gida Mustapha, has stated that ex-Governor of Edo State Adams Oshiomhole is the best man to led the All Progressives Congress (APC) to victory in 2019.
Oshiomhole is unopposed within the bid to take over from John Odigie-Oyegun because the nationwide chairman of the APC.
Speaking to newsmen on Friday, Mustapha famous that the character of the electioneering for 2019 shall be barely totally different from that of 2015 as APC shall be exhibiting its scorecards to the citizens as towards making guarantees.
He mentioned: “With abilities and expertise as a former labour chief and former governor of a robust state, Oshiomhole was well-positioned to offer the management that APC requires in the mean time. I consider he has bought all it takes to steer our party sooner or later.
“So, I've come to encourage him as a result of I consider we want someone like him in the mean time to present the purposeful management that we require.
“I consider Comrade (Oshiomhole) has bought the tenacity, the mental means and the organizational abilities having been a labour chief and served as a governor for eight years in a very tough state like Edo. He will have the ability to take us and usher us to a brighter 2019.
“We are a democratic party. Nobody is going to be gagged. Nobody is going to be stopped from contesting any office. But you know as part of the election processes, there are negotiations and there are agreements and there are consensus building mechanisms that have been put in place.”
