Forget all talk of transfers - for 90 minutes tonight all that matters is a Sunderland victory.
Too often this season the Black Cats have failed to build on a positive result or performance.
That has to stop - and there’s never been a better time to do it than at St Andrew’s tonight. Sunderland’s victory over Hull City was vital, but it only starts to count for something when the Black Cats put a run together.
Sunderland have Kazenga LuaLua available to them tonight after his loan move from Brighton, although the winger is unlikely to start given his lack of match fitness.
The same goes for Jonny Williams, recently returned from a shoulder injury, but Lamine Kone could feature for the first time this year after impressing for training and for the Under-23s.
Options up front are restricted to Joel Asoro and Josh Maja, but the Black Cats youngsters are full of confidence, while in midfield, George Honeyman’s return adds competition.
Chris Coleman has a few big decisions to make, but what would you do?
Is it a case of same again after the Hull win, or would you tweak things with Kone available?
