Siasia Hours after Stephen Keshi revealed plans to draft some Flying Eagles’ players into his Super Eagles team after the upcoming FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand, Dream Team VI Coach, Samson Siasia has followed suit with similar plans. Siasia, whose national U-23 team is currently preparing for this year’s All Africa Games as well as next year’s Olympics in Brazil has confirmed that he'll elevate most of the Flying Eagles’ players to the Olympic squad after the FIFA U20 World Cup in New Zealand, Daily Sun Sports reports. A previous Flying Eagles’ handler, Siasia revealed that he would follow the junior World Cup with keen interest so as to monitor the players’ performances to determine those of them that would fit into his team. “They are in my plans of course,” Siasia told sl10.ng “I will watch their games at the U20 World Cup and the best of them will join us when they’re done. “It’s natural for them to progress from the U20 to the U23. Remember I did it too when I was the U20 coach and afterwards the U23 coach. “It’s a Nigerian team and not a Siasia team. If we think anybody is good enough, we will bring them in however, the U20 boys are definitely in my plans.” Siasia confessed that he was impressed by the Manu Garba-tutored team. “Of course I'm. Who doesn’t like good things? We brought Taiwo (Awoniyi) in before our last game against Zambia, he came in and scored two goals for us so I've to be impressed,” he stated.
