Kola Ologbondiyan speaking to journalists
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described the blockage of the National Assembly complex by security operatives as a disgrace to Nigeria’s democratic process.
The party made this known through its National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan.
“What we are facing now, honestly is a disgrace to our democratic process,” he said while condemning the refusal of security operatives to grant lawmakers and journalists entry into the National Assembly.
Speaking to Channels TV, he accused the current administration of lacking ‘strategy’ and engaging in acts that could undermine Nigeria’s democracy.
Ologbondiyan said: “The basic thing I have noticed in the Buhari administration is the lack of tact and strategy because all these things that are playing out are unknown in our political history since 1999.
“That security (operatives) would block the access and stop journalists, members of the public and stop parliamentarians from coming in.”
