Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has stated that some members joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) to worship their egos.

Speaking throughout the inauguration ceremony of newly elected Executive Committee members of the party, the governor mentioned the APC just isn't for everybody.

He mentioned not all members of the ruling party shared the APC’s noble goal of bringing change to Nigerians.

El-Rufai mentioned: “Some wayfarers, who see each political party solely as a platform for elective or appointive workplace, or the perpetual worship of their egos, discovered their manner into the party and even obtained elected.

“Then they abused belief by tradaucing the party that elected them. While we had been all working to strengthen the party, a few of these individuals violated party spirit by in search of to factionalise our party and creating the impression within the media of an irreconcilably divided party.

“Through the steadfast motion of our members, the Kaduna APC simply defeated this plot of the egocentric, disaffected politicians whose sense of non-public entitlement is subversive of the general public good.

“These people have now been advised clearly by our members that the APC doesn't abide indiscipline, opportunism or the irresponsible placement of non-public curiosity above the collective.

“Our members can be proud that we have stood united in the Kaduna APC, in unity, we must continue to work hard to fulfil the hopes that our people have invested in our party.”
