Music streaming company Spotify has just announced its latest acquisition: CrowdAlbum, a startup that collects social posts around events like concerts into albums like this one.
The deal, according to Spotify, will send CrowdAlbum’s team — including founder and ex-Googler Tracy Chan — to work on products specifically for musicians at Spotify. Spotify claims the acquisition will help “artists find and engage their audiences on and off Spotify, especially around the ever important business of touring.”
