n the Instagram account of jdmayfair, the car looks like a genuine GTR, with the bodywork featuring all the crazy aero agenda we’ve seen before, including the characteristic huge fixed rear wing.
The track-only version of McLaren’s hybrid hypercar was sold only to existing P1 owners, and apparently a very few of them decided to experience the 987hp of the hybrid powertrain on public roads.
Details are really limited at the moment, but the car you see here is likely to have been converted for road use by Lanzante Motorsport, the only known specialist to be undertaking such conversions. And in order to be on the safe side, we run the plates of the car you see here and they are indeed registered on a McLaren, with the date of the first registration to be April 15 2016.
