Sunderland’s Good Friday game at Derby County has been moved to an evening kick-off so it can be shown live on TV.

Sky Sports have announced their latest raft of live Football League games, which runs until the Easter weekend.

The Black Cats’ fixture at promotion-chasing Derby will now kick-off at 7.45pm. The sides met on the opening night of the season, also live on TV, when they drew 1-1.

The latest change means travelling supporters will have to get back home late on the Bank Holiday. Sunderland host Sheffield Wednesday on Easter Monday.

That apart, though, they have come out unscathed from the list of matches moved for the broadcasters.

Theirs is one of eight Football League matches to be televised over the Easter weekend, with Middlesbrough’s against Wolverhampton Wanderers kicking off at 5.30 on Good Friday.

Sky have delayed announcing their fixtures for the weekend of March 17 until the outcome of the FA Cup fourth-round ties are known.

Sunderland were last live on TV earlier this month, when they faced Cardiff City in front of the cameras.

Middlesbrough’s game at home to Leeds United has been moved to Friday, March 2 (7.45pm).
