With just two matchweeks left in this season's Premier League campaign and the title as well as next year's European spots all but sewn up, attentions have drawn to the dogfight at the wrong end of the table.
Six sides, realistically, have the potential of staring Championship football in the face Sunday week; a somewhat harrowing thought given the increased levels of competition in the second tier of English football.
It is a gut-wrenching experience; seeing your side teetering on the edge of the top-flight's abyss. However, if you follow a team involved, you need no longer fear, as with limited football knowledge coupled with complete guesswork, I am going to reveal to you the three sides which will rue the day they either appointed Alan Pardew or Mark Hughes - may have just given the game away slightly...
1. 15th: West Ham United - 35 Points
West Ham United's demise during arguably one of the worst ownership spells in the club's history would undoubtedly be hysterically funny, but still quite sad.
Although dream sponge David Moyes remains at the helm, and the London Stadium is a sorry excuse for a football stadium, not being able to witness the Hammers' mid-season implosion without tuning into Quest on a Saturday evening would be upsetting.
Fixtures: Leicester City (A), Manchester United (H), Everton (H)
Points Prediction: 4 - 39 points
Premier League Status: Survive
2. 16th: Huddersfield Town - 35 Points
Arguably having one of the weakest squads in the Premier League this season means Huddersfield Town deserve some serious credit for not already expecting a return to the Championship.
David Wagner's Jurgen Klopp-like charm has remained as the season has progressed, and it is always nice to see the underdog flourish.
However, with three of the top six still yet to play, and two of those fixtures away from the Kirklees Stadium, with the other being Arsene Wenger's last match in charge of Arsenal, it is going to be a nervy final week for the Terriers faithful.
Fixtures: Manchester City (A), Chelsea (A), Arsenal (H)
Points Prediction: 0 - 35 points
Premier League Status: Relegated on goal difference
3. 17th: Swansea City - 33 Points
Whether it is Carlos Carvalhal's riddles finally getting the better of Swansea City's players, or the truth that the Swans are in fact not very good at football bearing through; it has been a rollercoaster of a season for the Welshmen.
Written off for certain relegation earlier in the campaign to undoubted survivors not so long ago, the spectrum has finally reached somewhere in the middle.
The final safety sitters do, however, have the easiest run in out of any other side in the bottom six to finish their season; meaning if the worst were confirmed, it would be well deserved.
Fixtures: Bournemouth (A), Southampton (H), Stoke City (H)
Points Prediction: 4 - 37 points
Premier League Status: Survive
4. 18th: Southampton - 32 Points
Hindsight truly is a wonderful thing. It is incredible to think less than 12 months ago a significant portion of the Southampton fanbase were crying out for Claude Puel to be sacked; a manager who took the Saints to the League Cup final and secured a comfortable top-half finish.
Fast-forward to today, and what the St Mary's Stadium regulars would give to take their disgruntlement back.
Although a fan favourite, Mark Hughes, a man who left Stoke City in the relegation zone and was dumped out the FA Cup by League Two Coventry City, does not seem the boss to rely upon - yet another example of Southampton's horrendous recruitment this season.
Fixtures: Everton (A), Swansea City (A), Manchester City (H)
Points Prediction: 3 - 35 points
Premier League Status: Survive on goal difference
5. 19th: Stoke City - 30 Points
Stoke City have improved under Paul Lambert; there is no denying it, but maybe not enough.
The Potters have boasted a more solid defensive structure since the 48-year-old Scot's arrival, although their game management remains the issue.
Lambert's side have surrendered 10 points from winning positions since he took over; a tally, had they held on, which would see them 11th - and that's why they're going down.
Fixtures: Crystal Palace (H), Swansea City (A)
Points Prediction: 2 - 32 points
Premier League Status: Relegated
6. 20th: West Bromwich Albion - 28 Points
Unfortunately for West Bromwich Albion, the sacking of Alan Pardew and appointment of Darren Moore seems too little too late this season.
The 44-year-old has done an incredible job since taking over; remaining unbeaten and claiming eight points from four games.
The Baggies' fate should already be confirmed, yet somehow they have managed to cling on, although it is unlikely for much longer.
Fixtures: Tottenham Hotspur (H), Crystal Palace (A)
Points Prediction: 3 - 31 points
Premier League Status: Relegated
