The suspects who indicted Senator Dino Melaye advised a Senior Magistrate Court in Lokoja on Monday that the allegations in opposition to them are false.
Kabiru Seidu, 31, aka “Osama” and Nuhu Salihu, 25, aka “Small” have been arraigned alongside the senator representing Kogi West.
They implicated Melaye within the allegations of prison conspiracy, unlawful possession of firearms and unlawful arms dealing.
Seidu and Salihu had claimed to be political thugs of the lawmaker whom they accused of arming them.
But the senator has since denied the allegation.
The suspects and Senator Melaye, on Monday, declared that the allegations in opposition to them have been false and that they weren't responsible.
When the costs have been learn afresh to the defendants, they pleaded not responsible as they mentioned the seven expenses have been all false.
And in his ruling, the Senior Magistrate, Sulyman Abdullah, held that whereas he would “wholeheartedly” need trials in his courtroom to be concluded speedily, he must take a look at the principles of the courtroom.
He, then, adjourned until July 26 for the graduation of listening to of the case.
