Premium points were on offer in south Wales but neither side were able to grab a much-needed maximum haul after goals from Gylfi Sigurdsson and Scott Dann leveled the match
Swansea City and Crystal Palace were forced to settle for a point apiece on Saturday after the struggling duo failed to net a decisive second goal at the Liberty Stadium.
Gylfi Sigurdsson put the Swans ahead after 13 minutes when his curling free-kick from 20 yards out found the bottom corner of Wayne Hennessey’s goal.
Emmanuel Adebayor had a strong chance to net his first goal in Palace colours soon after but headed his effort over the crossbar from six-yards.
Moments after the interval Palace found an equaliser through Scott Dann. The centre-back reacted well to Damien Delaney’s near-post flick-on from a corner to stab the ball into the net from close range.
Palace threatened on the counter attack for a long period after the leveller but were unable to take their chances as the south Wales outfit almost stole maximum points through Modou Barrow's fierce strike late on.
