The Poland international has hailed the 57-year-old Giallorossi boss after spending time on loan at the Italian club on loan from the Gunners
Wojciech Szczesny claims that he learned more in the four months under Roma boss Luciano Spalletti than he did in a decade under Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.
The Poland international spent the season on loan to the Serie A side and the last four months under Spalletti, who returned in January for his second stint at Stadio Olimpico.
And Szczesny says the Italian has already had a greater impact on his career than the Gunners boss.
"I learned more in four months with Spalletti than in 10 years in England," the 26-year-old said.
Szczesny also noted that despite having two years left on his contract at the Emirates, staying at Roma would be better for his development.
"I know where I will play in the next season but I won't say it", he said.
“If I stay in Rome I will grow more, if I will return to Arsenal I will make good use of this experience.
“Arsenal have paid most of my salary, and I have another 2 years on my contract with them".
