Napoleon Adamu, the spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Taraba State, has been dismissed.
As stated by Daily Trust report, he was sacked by the party for accepting the judgment of the governorship election tribunal which was in favour of Aisha Jummai Alhassan, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress.
Adamu was said to have told newsmen in Jalingo, the state capital, that people of the state should accept the verdict and cooperate with the winner in the interest of the state.
His dismissal is coming after an emergency meeting of the party's state working committee held in Jalingo, the state capital.
It was resolved that Adamu's comments in favour of APC had caused PDP great embarrassment.
The party said Adamu's acceptance of last Saturday's verdict which nullified the election of Governor Darius Ishaku was a conspiracy against the interest of the party.
The tribunal had at the weekend sacked the state governor, Ishaku and announced Hajia Alhassan of the as winner of the April 2015 governorship election.
In reaction to the judgement, the PDP had alleged that the outcome of the tribunal shows interference of the executive with the judiciary.
Ishaku, however, said he will appeal the ruling.
