Zlatan Ibrahimovic will make his competitive debut for Manchester United in Sunday’s FA Community Shield against Leicester City, with fellow new signing Eric Bailly also included in the starting XI.
The Swede arrived in July on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain and has started two games in pre-season, and new manager Jose Mourinho has given him the nod to lead United’s line against the Premier League champions at Wembley.
Marouane Fellaini also starts for United after netting a crucial goal against Galatasaray in one of his two pre-season appearances, while Jesse Lingard begins at the scene of his match-winning goal in the FA Cup final in May. New signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan is among the substitutes.
For Leicester, Jamie Vardy leads the line as Claudio Ranieri sticks largely to the side which led the Foxes to a remarkable league title in 2015-16. Ahmed Musa is among the substitutes after signing from CSKA Moscow this summer.
Leicester: Schmeichel, Simpson, Huth, Morgan, Fuchs, Mahrez, King, Drinkwater, Albrighton, Okazaki, Vardy.
