Jordon Ibe starts in place of Adam Lallana at Norwich, with Jon Flanagan named in Liverpoolβs squad for a Premier League encounter one year and eight months after he last featured in the top tier.
Ibe is the only change to the starting XI that suffered a 1-0 defeat to Manchester United last Sunday, with Lallana overcoming a minor muscle problem to travel to Carrow Road.
Flanagan, who made his long-awaited comeback from a troublesome knee injury in the 3-0 FA Cup third-round replay victory over Exeter in midweek, last played a league game on the final day of the 2013-14 season, when Liverpool ousted Newcastle 2-1.
The full-back got 39 minutes of action on Wednesday, and will hope to get another run-out as a sub against Alex Neilβs side as he continues to build up his match sharpness.
Christian Benteke, who scored four goals against Norwich during his time at Aston Villa, is on the bench again with Roberto Firmino preferred upfront.
Alberto Moreno, meanwhile, makes his 50th league appearance for Liverpool.
