Juan Mata and Wayne Rooney both start for Manchester United as Anthony Martial drops out for the meeting with Crystal Palace.
Martial turned in an underpar performance on Sunday as United returned to winning ways against Tottenham Hotspur, and with Jose Mourinho admitting he is likely to rotate his side heavily over the Christmas period the Frenchman was left behind in Manchester as the 20-man squad travelled south.
United make four changes in total, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan out through injury, Antonio Valencia suspended and Matteo Darmian left out of the starting XI. Besides Mata and Rooney, Eric Bailly and Daley Blind also step up into the initial lineup.
The Red Devils did briefly threaten to arrive late for a third time in London in 2016 but their team coach roled up just before the 19:00 GMT cut-off to hand in their lineup and prepare for the 20:00 kick-off. They had previously forced late kick-offs against Tottenham and West Ham United at the end of 2015-16 after suffering traffic problems in the capital.
Christian Benteke starts as expected for Alan Pardew's side having netted eight times so far this term, while Wilfried Zaha faces his former club once more.
Crystal Palace starting XI: Hennessey; Ward, Flamini, Dann, Cabaye, Zaha, Lee, Benteke, McArthur, Delaney, Kelly. Subs: Speroni, Campbell, Townsend, Ledley, Fryers, Husin, Wan-Bissaka.
Man Utd starting XI: De Gea; Jones, Bailly, Rojo, Blind; Herrera, Carrick; Mata, Pogba, Rooney; Ibrahimovic. Subs: Romero, Lingard, Schweinsteiger, Fellaini, Young, Rashford, Darmian.
