Ado-Ekiti-The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, has called on Muslims in Nigeria to educate their children to prevent the young ones from being unnecessarily radicalised and recruited into terrorism and insurgency.
The Sultan made the statement at the turbaning of the Grand Imam of Ekiti State, Sheikh Jamiu Kewulere Bello, as the President General of the League of Imams and Alfas in South-West, Edo and Delta states.
He stated that terrorism and Islam are no bed-fellows, urging Muslims to fish out bad elements among them.
The spiritual head of Muslims in Nigeria, also declared that there was no place for terrorism in Islam.
The Sultan who arrived Ekiti State yesterday met with the state governor, Ayodele Fayose.
