One of the most sought after cars of its era, the Lancia Delta Integrale will go under the hammer at Silverstone Auctions.
It may not be accurate to describe it as "brand new", since it is a 24-year old car, however, the 31 miles (50km) indicated by the clock make it nearly impossible to refer to it in a different manner.
Built in 1992, this Lancia Delta Integrale HF Turbo Martini 5 had only one owner in its entire lifetime, who preferred to keep it as an investment, in perfect storage conditions, and he never took it out on the road -can you imagine that?
The iconic car is dressed in the distinctive white livery of the famous Martini drinks company, Lancia's sponsors at the time, and its interior is trimmed in unmarked grey Alcantara.
Chassis number 124, of the limited run of 400 units built to celebrate the Integrale's fifth consecutive victory in the WRC for Manufacturers, is every collector's dream and, besides the car, its future owner will get the original service book, manual, tool kit and invoice.
It is estimated that the road-legal Italian vehicle will fetch anywhere between £90,000 and £110,000 ($128,000-157,000) when it will be auctioned, at the Race Retro International Historic Motorsport Show 2016, at Stoneleigh Park, Coventry, on February 28.
This is not the first time that this particular example pops up in the news feed as its seller tried to find a new home for it the previous year too, at Silverstone Auctions' Race Retro Sale in Warwickshire, however, the attempt was not successful.
