The bridge was opened after two days of maintece work

The government of Lagos state on Sunday announced the reopening of the Third Mainland Bridge, which was temporarily closed for Investigative Maintece Test.

Dr Taiwo Salaam, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transportation, said the decision to reopen the bridge earlier than announced followed the completion of the test by engineers.

The bridge, which is the second longest bridge in Africa, was shut on 23 August, and was scheduled to be reopened midnight of 26 August.
