If you thought a pick-up truck with a stretched bed and track can’t destroy a pretty hefty-modified Nissan GT-R on the quarter mile runs, it means you haven’t seen this Chevrolet S10 perform on the track.Not at all surprisingly, you won’t find the engine where you’d normally expect it to be, as the powerplant powering this beast migrated to the back of the cab, in the flatbed. There, aided by two 82mm Borg-Warner S400SX3 turbos big enough to cause a tornado, the 580-cubic inch (9.5-litre) mill develops about 1200 hp at 22 pounds of boost, however, it can go up 1500 – 1600 hp to the wheels easily – which is enough to catapult the car from 0 to 400 m (quarter mile) in 9.3 seconds. That’s not at all bad for a 6 meter-long (20 feet) truck.Unfortunately, as impressive as this project was, it suffered an accident during a weekend event approximately 3 months ago. However, given the owner’s outrageous style we can’t wait to see what he’ll spawn next.
