Security agencies have been implore to be more vigilant in northern Nigerian following eviction notice issued to Igbos
Three Nigerian men have been arrested by the Adamawa State Police command for exhuming and beheading the corpse of a seven-year-old girl.
The suspects identified as Yunusa Audi, Dauda Babale and Muka’ilu Ishaya, were arrested at Tashan-Baba village in Jada Local Government Area.
The state’s police public relations officer, Othman Abubakar, revealed that the men were found with the head of the deceased girl, identified as Blessing Johnson.
It was learnt that they had dug the grave of Johnson, a day after she was buried.
Abubakar stated that they confessed to the crime after their arrest and revealed that they were contracted to get a fresh human head by a suspected ritualist.
The PPRO said they also revealed the identity of the suspected ritualist to be one John Bakari from Karlkahi village in Fufore Local Government.
“They told investigators that their sponsor promised to pay Five Million Naira (N5,000,000.00k) for the head,” he added.
The police confirmed through their spokesman that the suspects would be charged to court on Monday, May 28.
Meanwhile, pressmen gathered from Abubakar that they were on the trail of the contractor who he claimed had escaped.
