Coming off a three-game losing streak and hosting the group leader, Olympiacos Piraeus needed inspired play on Friday and got more than enough from a familiar source, Georgios Printezis, the MVP for Top 16 Round 6. The veteran forward and two-time champion stepped up with the biggest offensive performance of his 187-game Euroleague career to help the Reds right their ship with a 89-77 victory over dangerous Khimki Moscow Region. To his usual array of two-point shots, of which he made 9 of 13, Printezis added 3-for-5 accuracy from the three-point arc and made his 3 free throw attempts to score 30 points, several more than his previous best in the Euroleague. His 3 triples matched his second-best total in Euroleague play, as did his 9 rebounds, too. And with an assist and 6 fouls drawn, Printezis amassed a 37 performance index rating, best among Euroleague players this week, and another personal high in his 10th full Euroleague season. Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar guard Malcolm Delaney was the Round 6 runner-up after leading his team to its second road win of the Top 16 on Thursday with 21 points and 7 assists in a 64-82 victory at Unicaja Malaga. Delaney amassed a performance index rating of 31. He made 6 of 10 three-pointers and 3 of 3 free throws. Panathinaikos Athens center Miroslav Raduljica dominated the paint to the tune of 21 points on 9-of-11 shooting, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal for a performance index rating of 26 in the Greens' 60-78 rout of Cedevita Zagreb. CSKA Moscow guard Nando De Colo, who leads the league with an average index rating of 23.2 this season, had the fourth-best index this week. De Colo totaled a performance index rating of 25 in his team's 59-94 rout of Zalgiris Kaunas. He scored 19 points, dished 3 assists and collected 3 steals. Rounding out the list of Round 6 stars were CSKA's Milos Teodosic and Olympiacos's Othello Hunter, each with an index rating of 21. Teodosic had 20 points, 4 assists and 2 steals, while Hunter posted 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Reds.

Individual leaders: Ioannis Bourousis of Laboral Kutxa Vitoria Gasteiz, 14 rebounds

This week's MVP, Printezis, was also Top 16 Round 6's best scorer with a career-high 30-point effort. De Colo remains the top scorer for this season with 19.1 points per game. Laboral Kutxa Vitoria Gasteiz center Ioannis Bourousis added to his league-best rebounding tally with 14 boards on Friday to lead the weekly charts. He is now averaging 9.3 rebounds per game. Panathinaikos Athens playmaker Nick Calathes topped all players in Round 6 with 10 assists and is now fourth with 6.6 assists per game for the season. Thomas Heurtel of Anadolu Efes Istanbul leads all players with 7.7 per game. Four players shared the most steals in this round, with 3 each: De Colo, James Augustine of Khimki, Bogdan Bogdanovic of Fenerbahce Istanbul and Sergio Llull of Real Madrid. Calathes is the season's overall leader with 2 steals per game. There was also a four-way tie for the most blocks in the round: the Fenerbahce duo of Ekpe Udoh and Jan Vesely were joined by Laboral Kutxa big man Ilimane Diop and Madrid center Willy Hernangomez with 3 each. Udoh's 1.9 blocks per game lead the league. Three players notched double-doubles in Round 6: Calathes (10 points, 10 assists), Hunter and Vladimir Stimac (11 points, 10 assists) of Crvena Zvezda Telekom Belgrade.
