Euroleague Basketball has announced disciplinary sanctions pertaining to incidents that occurred in Round 8 of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Top 16. The sanctions are based on infractions of the competition by-laws that all teams are aware of and obliged to fulfill. The following sanctions were handed down for Top 16 Round 8:

  • Panathinaikos Athens has been sanctioned with a fine of 7,000 Euros for the lighting of fireworks during its home game against Fenerbahçe Ulker Istanbul, under Article 29.2, paragraph (e) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.
  • Crvena Zvezda Telekom Belgrade has been sanctioned with a fine of 5,000 and a fine of 3,000 Euros for the use of laser pointers and the throwing of objects onto the playing court during its home game against Anadolu Efes Istanbul, under Article 29.2, paragraph (f) and (h) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code respectively.
