The Turkish side finished the match with 7 men in the defeat to Galatasaray and the midfielder will now face a ban for his indiscretions
Trabzonspor midfielder Salih Dursun has been banned for three matches by the Turkish Football Federation following his dismissal for showing a red card to referee Deniz Ates Bitne in the club's 2-1 defeat to Galatasaray.
Dursun was also fined 13,000 Turkish Lira for his part in the incedent, with the Turkish authorities refusing to sanction his behaviour as a humourous act.
The Black Sea coast club finished the match in Istanbul with seven men, with Ozer Hurmaci, Aykut Demir and Pedro Luis Cavanda also sent off in a match that was followed by protests from Trabzonspor fans angry with the referee's performance.
Selcuk Inan eventually netted the winner late on as Galatasaray finally capitalised on and punished their opponents' depleted ranks, with Trabzonspor having led 1-0 earlier before Lukas Podolski's equaliser.
