For a little over 60 seconds, there’s nothing really going on in this dashcam video, however, then, a Honda Civic driver decides to weave through traffic.
Just as the sedan’s driver makes his first attempt to quickly squeeze in front of a white GMC, the motorist in the dash-cam car makes, what turns out to be a prophetic remark, “You don’t want to do thaaaat…”
And indeed, only a few seconds afterwards, while forcing its way between another pair of cars, the Civic apparently touched one or perhaps even both vehicles, causing it to violently overturn and crash.
The driver in the car recording the incident gave his own account:
"Driving on NJ-17 when I noticed a Honda Civic revving aggressively in front of me,” he wrote. “Upon entering the highway, the Civic changed lanes quickly and I thought that was a bad move since the left lanes always have the heaviest traffic. The Civic then tried to change lanes in too small a gap between two cars and flipped multiple times. I pulled over to check on the occupants and drivers - driver was not moving and passenger had ended up in the backseat however, was moving. Called 911 and gave other two drivers my number in case they needed me as a witness."
Let’s hope that both the driver and the passenger made it out alive.
