Former Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs Kabiru Turaki has mentioned President Muhammadu Buhari has didn't safe the lives and properties of Nigerians.
The former minister acknowledged this whereas delivering a lecture in Abuja on Thursday.
Reacting to the killings in Plateau State, he mentioned Nigerians have change into extra weak so far as the safety of their lives and property was involved.
Turaki mentioned: “From no matter angle or perspective one approaches this query, it turns into crystal clear that this authorities has failed in assembly up with its obligations to the individuals of this nation as directed and mandated by our structure.
“We have seen how a tiny subject of insecurity bedevilling the three frontline states within the North-East, had snowballed into a nationwide catastrophe.
“There is now the issue of clashes between herdsmen and farmers, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of people, almost on a daily basis, in Benue, Nasarawa, Plateau, Kogi, Adamawa, Taraba and some areas in the South East and South West geo-political zones.”
“The citizenry have seen how government has clearly displayed either lack of interest or more correctly, lack of capacity and political will to stop the killings and restore peace and order in the villages and communities affected by these wanton killings,” he additionally mentioned.
