The federation unveiled its new crest on Monday, which features the letters "USA" above red and white stripes.
U.S. Soccer has released its new crest, replacing the old version with a more simple design.
The federation had been teasing the change for weeks and on Friday, it replaced the old crest on its social media accounts and website with a blank white space – making it known that a change was coming.
According to The New York Times, U.S. Soccer and Nike began the process of designing the new crest back in the fall of 2014, and went through several hundred iterations before settling on the final product.
The federation's old crest had been in place since 1995.
