The United Kingdom has restated its assist for Nigeria’s anti-corruption drive as lead by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Paul Arkwright, gave the peace of mind on Wednesday on the EFCC’s headquarters in Abuja.
”We are happy to see how the EFCC operates, and we're assuring you of the infinite assist of the British Government within the struggle in opposition to corruption,” he stated.
“The UK and Nigeria have evolved and made progress in the fight against corruption, and the EFCC’s achievements have been impressive.”
As acknowledged by him, “INEC and EFCC should be there to preserve the integrity of the political process, including taking forward investigations without any prejudice on one side or the other, following the evidence and taking action where it is justified.”
