NEW YORK — The UN Security Council will maintain an emergency assembly Thursday to debate the Syrian military’s Russia-backed offensive in opposition to insurgent teams in southern Syria that has pressured some 300,000 folks to flee ot the Jordanian and Israeli borders, diplomats mentioned.
Sweden, which holds the rotating Security Council presidency, requested the closed-door assembly together with Kuwait, Swedish diplomats mentioned Tuesday.
