Borno State governor, Babagana Zulum has come out to say that only qualified primary and secondary school teachers will be allowed to teach in the state henceforth.
He revealed this during a media chat to celebrate his one year in office on Sunday in Maiduguri.
According to him, his government has set up a committee to examine the qualification and quality of teachers and this will help to get rid of the unqualified ones.
He added that quality education is needed to improve the lives of the children in Borno.
His words, “If We're to maintain some of the unqualified teachers, then We've to post them to some other places.
“We want to ensure that We've the correct teachers to graduate qualified pupils from our schools.”
