Buick will reportedly introduce the 2017 Encore at the upcoming New York Auto Show, in March.

The announcement was made by Stuart Fowle, the company's spokesperson, in an interview with Autoblog: "While we've no additional details to announce, we're excited to confirm that media and customers will see the new 2017 Encore at next month's New York Auto Show. The Encore joins the Cascada convertible, Envision crossover, and LaCrosse sedans the fourth new product arriving in Buick showrooms this year."

Buick's refreshed model should look similar to the recently unveiled Opel Mokka X, its European cousin, gaining a new front end and a different dashboard that integrates new-gen infotainment systems in the center stack, with 7- and 8-inch displays.

Since the Mokka X received the updated powertrain from the Encore Sport Touring, Buick's version might not gain any upgrades under the hood.

In 2015 alone, Buick delivered 67,549 units of the Encore, 38.2 percent more over the previous year, and its popularity continued in January 2016 too, when 4,920 examples were sold, 42 percent up. The Buick Encore is the company's bestseller.
