The Colombian has struggled for game-time and has a notoriously chequered injury record - is the former Manchester United forward effectively finished at the top level?
In what has been a quite spectacular nosedive, Radamel Falcao's career has gone from brilliant to forgettable ever since he made the move to English football. The Colombia international has suffered numerous injuries and struggled for consistency during his time with both Manchester United and Chelsea and has made just 15 starts in the Premier League since leaving Monaco. The goals have dried up too - Falcao has registered just one, an equaliser for Chelsea against Crystal Palace in a game that the Blues would go on to lose, in all competitions for club and country since June 2015. So is the once-formidable forward's career at the highest level already over as he celebrates his 30th birthday or is there still time for a renaissance?
