Mesut Ozil may be a master of the assist, but he is rather less fluent when it comes to speaking the Chinese language. To celebrate the Chinese New Year, the Arsenal playmaker has uploaded a video on Instagram page of his attempt to take on a new tongue. Using a translator, Ozil listens to a demonstration before attempting to follow with his own interpretation of the words while aping the feminine voice.

Accompanying the video is a message which reads: "I like the Chinese language ... but it's not so easy to pronounce... Anyway! Happy Chinese New Year! Wishing you prosperity in the Year of the Monkey." Ozil was born in 1988, the year of the dragon, meaning he is lucky, flexible, eccentric, imaginative, artistic, spiritual and charismatic.
