Barcelona pride themselves on being ‘more than a club’, with the Camp Nou giants' brand centred on transcending sport.
They boast millions of followers, with people from all walks of life admirers of the many sides that operate out of Catalunya.
Their appeal stretches to all corners of the globe, with word of their achievements even spreading to the North Pole.
A certain jolly figure in a red coat is readying himself for the busiest day of his working year, but even Father Christmas acknowledges that he cannot spread as much cheer as those on Barca’s books.
“They spread joy every day, every single day,” Santa says on the club’s official YouTube channel.
“And you know what the real problem is? I enjoy them too.
“I can only share joy once a year, just a single day, but they can do it on Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays. But I see them and can’t help to get excited as a kid.”
It seems only right that a man who brings joy to billions around the world can appreciate the efforts of those who look to do likewise in their chosen profession.
After all, in Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez, Barcelona boast three wise men who often come bearing gifts and would not look out of place in a sporting nativity scene.
