Early this morning as early as 6am, thugs armed with machetes, guns and other weapons besieged the Oshodi area of Lagos State. The attackers were said to be wearing hoods while shooting sporadically and harassing residents. Unconfirmed reports say the violence spread into the Costain and Maryland areas of the state. The cause of the violence has not yet been determined but rumours have it that the chaos is being orchestrated by members of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC). Another photos belo.
