Previous Arsenal player and current Wolfsburg striker Nicklas Bendtner has gotten himself in trouble after posting a picture of himself getting into an AMG-powered Mercedes-Benz S-Class the previous week.

The image showed up on his personal Instagram account, with a text saying "On my way to another session".

So what's the big deal, you may ask? Well, VfL Wolfsburg is owned by the Volkswagen Group and it seems they don't take kindly to club players posing next to cars belonging to rival manufacturers.

"We've our rules, one of those being that you must pay attention to how you are photographed in public," explained Wolfsburg director of sport Klaus Allofs. "The rules are not new. It's misconduct and it's careless, which at the end of the day will cost [Bendtner] money."

The last time the Danish player was in this type of trouble was a few years back when he was fined for displaying underwear branded with the name of a bookmaker during his national team's game against Portugal at Euro 2012.
