Not a bad way to kick off pre-season. Brighton and Hove Albion youngster Jack Harper has laid down a marker ahead of the new season with a fine solo effort at the weekend.
The 20-year-old striker moved to the Championship outfit last summer after two years with Real Madrid's academy where he was likened to Robin van Persie.
Harper's talent was on full show against a Hartlepool United side, receiving the ball inside the penalty area, quickly darting past one defender, skipping around another, fooling the goalkeeper and slotting home.

Harper caused a stir in 2013 when he became only the fourth Scottish player ever to sign for Real Madrid, and it looks like his talent could do similar based on this evidence. - Goal
