There are inexplicable own goals ... and then there's what happened to Minnesota United goalkeeper Sammy Ndjock.

The Cameroon international inadvertently threw the ball into his own net Wednesday as the NASL club fell 4-0 in a friendly against Premier League side Bournemouth.

Callum Wilson had given Bournemouth the lead in the 24th minute at NSC Stadium before Ndjock doubled that advantage in embarrassing fashion two minutes later. Preparing to distribute, the goalkeeper changed his mind mid-throw, lost his grip on the ball and watched it agonisingly bounce into his goal.

Wilson added a second and Lewis Grabban capped the scoring for Bournemouth against second-tier Minnesota, but it was Ndjock who has grabbed the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
