Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has admitted he is “worried” for his former side ahead of their Premier League opener against Liverpool.
Liverpool gave themselves the perfect boost going into their trip to the Emirates Stadium next Sunday by beating Barcelona 4-0 in the International Champions Cup on Saturday.
Sadio Mane, Divock Origi and Marko Grujic were all on the scoresheet for Liverpool, while Javier Mascherano scored an own goal, in what was an emphatic performance at Wembley Stadium.
Arsenal, on the flip side, are desperately short of numbers ahead of locking horns with Liverpool, with Mesut Ozil, Olivier Giroud, Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker all set to miss the affair.
And Henry couldn't hide his concern for Arsenal's chances of tasting victory over Jurgen Klopp's men following the flawless destruction of the Spanish champions.
Wenger: Ibra could struggle in PL
He said: "I would be [worried about Liverpool]. It was a friendly game. We know Arsenal are going to try and keep the ball, pass it around but Giroud won't be involved. All the guys that went far in the Euros too. I would be worried to play that Liverpool side I've seen today.
"Yes, it will be a concern [some of Arsenal’s players only just returning]. The only positive thing for me is that the game is at the Emirates.
“I would like to think that Arsenal would have enough to beat Liverpool but from what I've seen today, and yes we can say Barcelona were not at their best but I like the way Liverpool set up their team.
“I like the way they play - high pressure, getting the ball back. They had an idea of what to do with the ball as soon as they got it back. So watch out!"
