Cristiano Ronaldo recently sparked controversy when he insulted Iceland, calling them out for their defensive strategy and overzealous celebrations after he struggled to break them down during Portugal's 1-1 draw with the minnows at Euro 2016.
Iceland, who are competing in their first ever major tournament, qualified for the knockout stage of the competition by finishing second in Group F - two points above Portugal - and then progressed into the quarter-finals with a 2-1 defeat of England.
And while some fans were preparing to forgive and forget Ronaldo's comments, others had a special message for the three-time Balon d'Or winner.
