While it can out-sprint much more expensive supercars, the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is far from bulletproof. Case in point, this 900 hp example.

Outfitted with a shot of nitrous, the 6.2-liter supercharged V8-engined muscle car is a serious quarter mile beast having set an insane McLaren P1-matching 9.7 second run late the previous year. However, as is so often the case with modified performance cars, components other than the engine can be the limiting factor and in this case, it was the driveshaft.

Prior to the driveshaft going boom at a drag racing event, the owner had the car installed with an aftermarket carbon fiber unit, designed to handle the extra horsepower and torque of the car.

While carbon fiber is insanely strong, it failed in a spectacular way, breaking into pieces and disappearing into a cloud of thousand dollar dust.
