Plateau State Water Board has dismissed rumours that water coming from the Lamingo Dam into the treatment plant at British-America junction in Jos has been poisoned.
This was disclosed Monday by the Board’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. gor Ndam.
He said there was no truth in the rumour.
“The rumour has forced us to run a test on the raw and treated water and there is no sign of poison.
“I believe the rumour is the action of some mischievous persons. The water is safe for consumption”, he assured.
“I wonder why people will just seat down and create stories that are not true, its unfortunate. Let me assure our citizens that the water is safe for consumption”, he also stated.
