Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC), Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN), has stated his committee can not probe the failed $16 billion energy mission carried out throughout former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration.
Famzn News recollects that President Muhammadu Buhari had earlier hinted on probing Obasanjo over the failed $16 billion energy mission, and Obasanjo, whereas reacting, acknowledged that he was prepared for probe over the ability mission.
However, Sagay talking to Independent, stated his committee had not regarded into the mission as a result of it didn't have the mandate to take action.
He stated: “When the time comes, we are going to meet with Buhari on the ability mission. It is an problem that we weren't critically serious about in my committee.
“As I stated, the anti-corruption businesses are those who've all of the details and figures.
