The apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has stated that it's but to take any place on 2019 presidential election.
As said by an assertion issued on Monday by the spokesman for Ohanaeze, Chuks Ibegbu stated; “We will seek the advice of broadly amongst Igbo stakeholders earlier than taking a resolution on 2019. Anybody who's parading himself, claiming that Ohanaeze Ndigbo is supporting him is losing his time.
The group stated; “However, Ohanaeze Ndigbo will support candidates that believe in restructuring Nigeria and ready to carry all sections of the country along.”
Ohanaeze lamented the least variety of states and native governments within the South-East, which has persistently led to the least quota in recruitments, jobs in civil service, illustration within the National Assembly, allocations amongst others.
“This is adversely affecting our people and is largely responsible for the agitations in the South-East and major parts of South-South. This shortfall in states and local governments in the South-East is no longer tolerable and must be addressed,” the group added.
