Arsene Wenger has revealed Arsenal are close to bringing in a new signing following the Gunners' 0-0 draw with Leicester City on Saturday.
The result leaves Arsenal without a win after two games having lost their opening fixture against Liverpool at the Emirates.
Goal understands the Gunners remain confident of signing Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi and Wenger is optimistic a new signing is imminent.
"Yes we are close," he told BT Sport. "But I would say spending in itself is not a quality. Spending and buying the right players is a quality.
"I am a bit fed up to always respond to the same things. We look and analyse absolutely everything and we have to make the right decisions."

Wenger also praised new signing Rob Holding who started alongside Laurent Koscielny in central defence and helped the Gunners keep a clean sheet at the home of the champions.
βNobody speaks about the performance of Rob Holding today - he is English, he is 20 years old, you should be happy. But I am sorry he didn't cost Β£55m so it cannot be good,β he added.
βThat is, for me, what is most disappointing β we donβt speak about the performances of the players anymore. We just speak about anything else but football and I believe it is not right.β
