Senator Ben Bruce has assured Governor Sam Ortom of Benue State that lawmakers in the Peoples Democratic Party will be by his side.
This is as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) accused Ortom of 22 billion Naira fraud after his defection from the All Progressives Congress the PDP.

However, in a tweet on Wednesday the Bayelsa East lawmaker assured that the PDP and its members will stand by Ortom all the way.
“Ortom, you are not alone,” he wrote.
‘’They can bring the police and the EFCC against you but in good times and in bad times, we will be by your side, standing shoulder to shoulder with you to uphold genuine democracy for the people of Benue and Nigerians.”
