Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state has permitted automated employment for Rivers indigenes who bagged Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the course of the 2018 Convocation ceremony of the Rivers state University.

Addressing the 2018 Convocation ceremony of the Rivers state University in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, Governor Wike introduced scholarship to Rivers indigenes admitted to review medication in any recognised college in Nigeria.
Speaking additional, he stated: “I've permitted the rapid restoration of the multi-campus standing of the Rivers State University.
“I direct the university to immediately proceed with arrangements to establish a campus of two faculties in Ahoada. The State Government will complete the abandoned mega secondary school in Emohua Local Government Area and donate it to the Rivers State University to establish the appropriate Faculty to provide more educational opportunities for the development of our young ones”.
The governor acknowledged that the college occupies a strategic place within the precedence checklist of his administration, noting that efforts to develop the establishment could be sustained.
While congratulating all graduands on the 2018 Convocation ceremony of the University, Governor Wike charged them to use the data gained from the establishment to achieve success in all their future endeavours.
